Phase I Treatment
(Early Orthodontic Treatment)

Early orthodontic treatment, known as Phase I Treatment, can address many issues as patients transition into their adult teeth, often resulting in shorter treatment times and an improved final smile and bite.

While orthodontic problems can be treated at any age, many young patients can benefit greatly from early orthodontic intervention.

Your child may need Phase I Treatment if they have:
- Protruding teeth
- An overbite, underbite, or crossbite
- Narrow dental arches
- Teeth that don’t come together correctly
- Habits like thumb or finger sucking
- Speech issues
- Breathing difficulties
- A jaw that isn’t proportionate to their face
- Baby teeth obstructing incoming adult teeth

Phase I Treatment may include retainers, palate expanders, braces or Invisalign aligners. During your child’s free initial exam, we will discuss the best timing for treatment and all available options. A more beautiful, confident smile for your child is closer than you think!
