At Buffalo Grove Orthodontics, we believe everyone deserves access to expert orthodontic care and guidance. That's why we offer free orthodontic screenings and consultations for children, teens, and adults. Whether you are checking your child's growth, exploring braces or Invisalign for your teen, or considering orthodontic treatment as an adult, our experienced team is here to help.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends children receive their first orthodontic evaluation
by age 7. At this stage, children typically have a mix of baby and permanent teeth, allowing
orthodontists to identify developing issues with jaw growth, bite alignment, and tooth eruption.
If an orthodontic concern is present, Buffalo Grove Orthodontics can determine whether treatment is
needed, when it should begin, and how long it may take. Early evaluation does not always mean early
treatment. In many cases, it simply allows us to monitor growth and intervene only if necessary.
If your child is younger than 7 and you notice crowding, early or late loss of baby teeth, difficulty
chewing, or jaws that appear misaligned, we encourage scheduling a free orthodontic screening.
If your child is not ready for, or doesn't need, Phase 1 treatment, we will continue to monitor their
development at no charge through our
Observation Monitoring Progam.
By age 12, most children have transitioned into their full set of permanent teeth, and many orthodontic
concerns become more apparent. This stage often aligns with peak jaw growth, making it an ideal time to
begin comprehensive orthodontic treatment.
During your child's free orthodontic consultation, we will discuss the ideal timing for treatment,
available options, and what to expect. Our goal is to create a confident, healthy smile while keeping
treatment efficient and comfortable.
Orthodontic treatment is not just for kids. More than a quarter of patients at Buffalo Grove
Orthodontics are adults. Thanks to modern treatment options like
Invisalign clear aligners and
clear braces, adults can straighten their teeth
comfortably and confidently.
Correcting crooked teeth and bite problems can improve oral health and help prevent issues such as gum
disease, tooth wear, jaw discomfort, and headaches. During your free consultation, we will review your
goals, discuss treatment options, outline the expected timeline, and review costs.
Achieving a healthier, more confident smile as an adult is simpler than you may think.
